Scope & Applicability
These Terms apply to all purchases and subscriptions made through herlifeatelier.com — including one-time digital purchases (Workbooks and Self-Study Courses) and the recurring subscription product Her Edit. They apply to consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB located within the EU and in all other countries. Sales are processed via the WooCommerce store integrated into the website.
In accordance with § 305 BGB, these Terms form part of the contract upon the customer's acceptance at checkout. Any deviating or supplementary terms of the customer do not become part of the contract unless expressly agreed to in writing by the Provider (§ 305b BGB). By completing a purchase or activating a subscription, the customer enters into a binding contract.
Products & Digital Delivery
Her Life Atelier offers two types of one-time purchase digital products:
- Workbooks — downloadable PDF guides (e.g. Love Pattern Decoder, Her Dating Standards, Her Money Era, In Her Era, and the editions of the Her Reset Collection).
- Self-Study Courses — each consisting of a Course Book and a Workbook, delivered as downloadable PDF files. Self-Study Courses are one-time purchases with no live component and no ongoing support; they are treated, legally and functionally, like the Workbooks.
Both product types are supplied as digital content not delivered on a tangible medium within the meaning of § 312f Abs. 3 BGB. After successful payment, the customer receives a secure download link by email and/or via the order confirmation page. No physical goods are shipped.
- Downloads are available immediately after payment is confirmed.
- The customer is responsible for having suitable software (e.g. a PDF reader) to open the files.
- If a download link fails due to a technical error on the Provider's side, the customer may request a replacement link at info@herlifeatelier.com.
Subscription — Her Edit
Her Edit is Her Life Atelier's subscription-based blog and constitutes a continuing obligation (Dauerschuldverhältnis). Subscribers receive full access to the weekly blog archive, early access to new releases, and occasional subscriber-only extras.
- Monthly plan: €9.00 per month, billed monthly, renews automatically.
- Annual plan: €74.00 per year, billed annually, renews automatically.
Term & automatic renewal: The subscription runs for the chosen billing period (one month or one year) and renews automatically for a further period of the same length unless cancelled before the end of the current period. The customer authorises the Provider to charge the applicable fee to the payment method on file at each renewal.
Cancellation: The customer may cancel at any time, with effect from the end of the current paid billing period. Cancellation can be made via the customer account or by email to info@herlifeatelier.com. Upon cancellation, access continues until the end of the current paid period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.
Price changes: The Provider may adjust subscription prices for future billing periods. Price changes are communicated to active subscribers in text form at least two months before they take effect. Where a price increase exceeds 10%, the subscriber may terminate the subscription with extraordinary effect before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date of a notified change constitutes acceptance.
Prices & Payment
All prices are stated in Euro (€) and are final prices. As the Provider is a steuerfreier Kleinunternehmer pursuant to § 19 UStG, no VAT is charged or shown; prices contain no separately stated value-added tax.
Accepted payment methods:
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe
- PayPal
- Further options as shown at checkout
For one-time purchases, payment is due immediately upon order. For the Her Edit subscription, recurring payments are charged automatically at the start of each billing period. In the event of a failed or reversed payment, the Provider may suspend access until the matter is resolved.
Right of Withdrawal & Refund Policy
Consumers generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts pursuant to § 312g, § 355 BGB and Directive 2011/83/EU. German and EU law treat the two categories below differently, and the rules that apply to each are set out separately.
(A) One-time purchases — digital content (Workbooks & Self-Study Courses). Workbooks and Self-Study Courses are digital content supplied as one-time downloads (§ 327 Abs. 2 BGB). For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal expires pursuant to § 356 Abs. 5 BGB and Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU once the Provider has begun performance, provided the consumer has (1) expressly consented to performance commencing before the end of the withdrawal period, and (2) confirmed awareness that this consent results in the loss of the right of withdrawal. This consent is collected via an active checkbox (unticked by default) at checkout:
Exceptions may be granted at the Provider's reasonable discretion where: (a) the product could not be delivered due to a technical error on the Provider's side; or (b) the product was materially different from its description. Such requests should be submitted within 14 days of purchase to info@herlifeatelier.com.
(B) Her Edit subscription — digital service. Her Edit provides recurring, ongoing access and therefore qualifies as a digital service within the meaning of § 327 Abs. 2 BGB, not as one-time digital content. The rules differ from those in (A) in an important way:
- The consumer has a 14-day right of withdrawal starting from the date the contract is concluded.
- If the consumer expressly requests that access begin within the withdrawal period, the right of withdrawal does not expire immediately. For a digital service, it expires only once the service has been fully performed — i.e. at the end of the paid billing period — and only where the consumer both requested the early start and acknowledged the loss of the right upon full performance (§ 356 Abs. 4 BGB).
- If the consumer withdraws within the 14-day period after access has begun but before full performance, the withdrawal is valid; the consumer then owes a proportionate amount for the period of access used up to the point of withdrawal (§ 357 Abs. 8 BGB), and the remaining balance is refunded.
- If the consumer withdraws within the 14-day period before any access has begun, a full refund is issued.
The consent for early commencement of the Her Edit service is collected via a separate active checkbox (unticked by default) at checkout:
After the 14-day withdrawal period, the subscription may be cancelled at any time as set out in Section 4; access then continues until the end of the current billing period, with no partial refund for unused time.
How to withdraw: To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer informs the Provider by a clear statement (e.g. by email to info@herlifeatelier.com) of the decision to withdraw. Use of the model withdrawal form is optional. Full statutory withdrawal instructions and the model withdrawal form are provided separately in the Withdrawal Policy.
Intellectual Property & Usage Rights
All products and content provided by Her Life Atelier — including text, design, layout, graphics, and course materials — are the exclusive intellectual property of the Provider and are protected under the German Copyright Act (UrhG) and applicable trademark law.
Upon purchase or subscription, the customer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal licence for private, non-commercial use only. The following are strictly prohibited without prior written consent:

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Her Life Atelier's products and content are provided for informational and personal-development purposes only. They do not constitute professional advice of any kind — psychological, therapeutic, medical, financial, or legal — and do not replace qualified professional support.
- Results and outcomes vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed.
- In cases of serious mental-health, medical, or financial concerns, the customer is encouraged to seek qualified professional assistance.
The Provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for damages arising from injury to life, body, or health (§ 309 Nr. 7 BGB). In the case of slight negligence, the Provider is liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation (cardinal obligation), and such liability is limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Beyond this, liability for indirect or consequential damages is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Total liability for one-time purchases shall not exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.
Data Protection
The Provider processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). This includes data processed in connection with one-time purchases, subscription management (Her Edit), payment processing via Stripe and PayPal, and email communication via MailerLite. These external processors act as data processors under data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Full details on data collection, use, retention, and your rights as a data subject (including the duties under Art. 13 and 14 GDPR) are set out in our Privacy Policy. By purchasing or subscribing, you acknowledge that your personal data is processed to the extent necessary to perform the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For consumers habitually resident in the EU, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of their country of residence also apply where they offer greater protection than German law (Art. 6 Rome I Regulation).
Dispute Resolution
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution (ODR) platform for EU consumers, available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our contact email for this purpose is info@herlifeatelier.com.
The Provider is neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle).
We encourage customers to contact us directly first — most issues can be resolved quickly and amicably.
Changes to These Terms
The Provider reserves the right to update these Terms. Changes are published on this page with an updated effective date. For active Her Edit subscribers, material changes are communicated by email with at least two months' notice before they take effect; if the subscriber objects within this period, the subscription may be terminated as of the effective date. The Terms in force at the time of your purchase apply to that specific transaction.
